Travel by Air
The closest airport to Tübingen is Stuttgart-Echterdingen. From there take the 828 Sprinter bus which runs every 30 minutes and takes approximately an hour. Be advised that the last bus into Tübingen is at 10:19 PM. For bus schedules go to Naldo, type in 828 under Minifahrpläne and open the first pdf-file. As an alternative, take the S-Bahn to Stuttgart Hbf (main train station) and proceed from there as indicated below.
Coming from Frankfurt, the train ride takes at least 2.5 hours. Go to Die Bahn and choose your language on top of the page for further information regarding train schedules and tickets.
Travel by Train
The train ride from Stuttgart takes between 45 mins (IRE, express train) and about an hour (RE, regional train).
Travel by Car
Tübingen is a medieval city and as such not made for cars. Finding (cheap) parking might also be quite challenging as most of the streets are reserved for residents at night; by day there are coin-operated parking meters.
Getting Around in Tübingen
Tübingen has a good public transportation system. Most of the busses stop at … which is close to the workshop venue. For further information about busses in Tübingen go to Stadtverkehr Tübingen. Alternatively, you can take a stroll from the central train station to the workshop venue over the picturesque Neckarbrücke which will take about 15-20 mins.
